What is Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PM Matritva Vandana Yojana)
Matrutva Vandana Yojana has been launched by Prime Minister Modi. That is why this scheme has been named Pradhan Mantri Matrutva Vandana Yojana. Women who are pregnant will be eligible under this scheme. Financial assistance of ₹6000 will be given to women who conceive under this scheme by the government. Both online and offline modes have been provided by the government to apply for the scheme. To apply offline in the scheme, one can go to the Anganwadi or health center and fill out the application form and join the scheme.

The Pradhan Mantri Matrutva Vandana Yojana was launched by the Prime Minister of the country Shri Narendra Modi on 01 January 2017. This scheme is a scheme of the Central Government.

- Under the PMMVY scheme financial amount of Rs.6000 will be provided to take care of both mother and child.

- The financial amount will be transferred in 3 installments i.e. 1000 rupees in the first installment, 2000 rupees in the second installment and 2000 rupees in the third installment totaling 5000 rupees to the bank account of the beneficiary.

- Last year, women in the state of Madhya Pradesh benefited from this scheme, which provided assistance worth Rs 942 crore to 22.2 lakh people.
- 76,293 pregnant, lactating women in the Kanpur district benefited from the scheme.
- Another Rs 1000 will be given to women whose children are born in the hospital and who are getting benefits under the Janani Suraksha Yojana.

Installments in Pradhan Mantri Matrutva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY Installment)
First installment
- The application for the first installment of the Pradhan Mantri Matrutva Vandana Yojana must be made within 150 days of the last menstrual period.
- For which the woman has to download Form 1A, a copy of her MCP card, an identity card, and a copy of her bank passbook by downloading and filling the PDF of given MATRITVA VANDANA YOJANA FORM 1-A PDF FOR FIRST INSTALLMENT.
Second installment
- Before applying for the second installment of the Pradhan Mantri Matrutva Vandana Yojana, a pregnant woman is required to undergo a check-up. In the second installment of this scheme, the government provides financial assistance of Rs.
- For the second installment of the scheme, the pregnant woman must apply within 180 days. The application process for the second installment will be the same as for the first installment, for which form 1B, a copy of the MCP card, an identity card, and a copy of the bank passbook. Third installment
- While applying for the third installment of Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana 2023(PMMVY) the birth of the child has to be registered. 2000/- is provided to pregnant women in the third installment

Offline Application in Pradhan Mantri Matrutva Vandana Yojana (Offline Apply)
Step 1:
Women eligible to receive maternity benefits under the scheme have to register for the scheme at an Anganwadi Center (AWC) or a government health center, whichever is functioning for that particular state. Registration should be done within 150 days of LMP.
Step 2:
A beneficiary can claim a second installment of financial assistance after 6 months of pregnancy by submitting Form 1B to AWC / Health Facility Center along with the claim along with at least one antennal check-up along with a copy of her MCP card. (ANC) and registration and a copy of Form 1A have to be submitted. The second installment can be claimed after 180 days of pregnancy
Step 3:
After 6 months of pregnancy, again log into the PMMVY CAS software and click on the ‘Second Installment’ tab and fill in Form 1 B following the instructions given in the user manual.
Step 4:
After the birth of the child and after completing the first round of CG, OPV, DPT, and Hepatitis B vaccinations, log in to the PMMVY CAS software and click on the ‘Third Installment’ tab and fill the following 1C
Online Application in Pradhan Mantri Matrutva Vandana Yojana (Online Apply)
Step 1:

To claim the third installment, the beneficiary must submit a copy of the child’s birth registration, ID proof, and MCP card (indicating that the child has received initial immunization of CG, OPV, DPT, and Hepatitis B) duly filled in. It is necessary to submit the form. Applicant is also required to show a copy of Acknowledgment Slip Form 1A and Form 1B. Applicants are also required to submit a copy of their Aadhaar card in all states except Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), Assam, and Meghalaya.
